Wendee Fisher holds a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Counseling from Luther Rice College and Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health from Winebrenner College in Findlay, Ohio. She is licensed as an Addiction Specialist in the state of Colorado. Wendee has completed advanced training in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Immanuel Approach inner-healing. She is a 6th generation Roaring Fork Valley Native. Before obtaining her master’s degree, Wendee was a teacher and preschool director for 15 years. She also spent 5 years on the leadership team for a Christian women’s wholeness group. Most recently, Wendee was the Program Manager of the Unsheltered Program for a local non-profit, Recovery Resources, where she supported those at risk of or experiencing homelessness in the Roaring Fork community with resources to move past addictions, mental health disorders and other barriers.
Wendee has a passion for seeing people connect with their identity in Christ and find freedom from those things that keep us in bondage. Wendee has had many friends and family lose themselves in addictions and has seen first-hand the devastation it can cause to individuals and their loved ones. She believes that the answers to the complicated issues of addiction are revealed as we seek the Lord and pursue healing of the body, mind, and spirit. Wendee has a heart for coming alongside people with empathy, support and encouragement as they pursue freedom and transformation.
