Our Story
In 2015, Daniel Kail founded Trailhead Christian Counseling in partnership with Crossroads Church of Aspen, CO. For Daniel, the merging of faith and clinical experience and education was a relatively organic transition, though he gathered a great deal of additional support and strength from pastors, the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA), mentors and countless books.
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines a Trailhead as “the place where a trail begins.” Trails often consist of rocky, meandering and uniquely challenging terrain. As the trail begins, one encounters a great deal of breathtaking beauty, but also some incredible challenges as summits are reached. So it is with navigating, understanding and healing the depths of the soul; Always moving forward, struggling, gaining strength and skills, and challenging one’s spirit. We invite our clients to engage their stories, to undertake the adventure of discovering and putting light on the dark and broken places of their souls, and restoring the heart to beauty.
