Licensed Professional Counselor candidate

M.A., LPC

Kelsey Kolz is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in Colorado, holding a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. After serving in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years, Kelsey has recently settled in Durango, CO, where she enjoys spending time outdoors and spending time with her family.

Kelsey’s call to counseling became clear while participating in a ministry in Germany that served the community working within brothels. She is passionate about supporting individuals dealing with PTSD, C-PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, as well as the everyday struggles of life. Kelsey utilizes Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and integrates a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach into her practice, emphasizing the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.  Kelsey is passionate for veterans and their families and also enjoys working with adolescents and adults.

With a strong faith-based perspective, Kelsey believes in the transformative power of God, complementing the therapeutic process. She affirms that, we know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him.  These are the people God chose, because that was his plan (Romans 8:27).

The Spirit God gave us does not make us afraid. His Spirit is a source of power and love and self-control.
— 2 Timothy 1:7
