Brian is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in Colorado and holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. Before coming to Trailhead Christian Counseling, he worked at Light of the Rockies in Fort Collins, Colorado, Vail Relationship Institute, and Credence Counseling in Grand Junction. Brian has lived in Glenwood Springs since 1999 and enjoys all the valley has to offer including mountain biking, snowboarding, rock climbing, and trail running. He has been on Garfield County Search and Rescue for the last 7 years and has considered it an honor to help those on their worst day. He has also served as an Elder at The Orchard Church in Carbondale, CO where he also led men’s ministry campouts and groups.

Brian has personally dealt with Major Depressive Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder for most of his life. Medication, therapy, friends, and most importantly God have allowed him to thrive despite these illnesses. Due to his struggle, Brian has a passion for helping people with depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, marital challenges, relational challenges, and the normal struggles of everyday life. He strongly believes in the power and importance of the therapeutic relationship between counselor and counselee. He also strongly believes in the power of God to transform our minds through methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. We are all created in God’s image, and He has great plans for us to work all things for our good, and to develop us into people of character.
