Art therapy is a mental health profession that uses the creative process of making art to improve and enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of individuals of all ages. “It is based on the belief that the creative process involved in artistic self-expression helps people to resolve conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self-esteem, self-awareness, and achieve insight.” (American Art Therapy Association).
Stephanie encourages healing through the integration of heart, body, mind, soul and spirit. She believes in the multi-dimensional power of God to promote life-giving change, restoration and growth. Expression of feelings, ideas, experiences, and hope are encouraged through the process of creating art.
Stephanie has been a member of the American Art Therapy Association and the Colorado Art Therapy Association since 2018.
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
