Master’s Degree in clinical mental health Counseling
Brenda is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado. She holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. Before joining Trailhead Christian Counseling, Brenda worked for Griffith Centers for Children. She currently serves as a school counselor for the Garfield RE-2 School District and has extensive experience working with children 4-12, parents/caregivers and survivors of trauma. She has completed training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Mindfulness. Brenda believes that one of the most essential things in working with a counselor, as supported by research, is the relationship. Brenda approaches psychotherapy from a collaborative, strengths-based, person-centered approach; she is here to serve you, meet you where you are, and humbly join you on your journey.
